Artist Talk: Visual Storytelling
What makes a photograph timeless? Is it the way light clings to a moment, the way a shadow lingers, or the silent poetry woven into an image? On March 15, AVANA Vietnam, in collaboration with Hải Ô and dédé photography, invites you to an intimate evening of conversation about the power of photography—how it preserves, transforms, and speaks across time. Through his long-term documentary project Coastal Skin, Hải Ô has spent years capturing thefragile beauty of Vietnam’s coastline—the fishermen at dawn, the shifting tides, the quiet resilience of life by the sea. Joining him is Nguyễn Đình Phong, the founder of dédé photography, whose work explores the nuances of human narratives and memory through visual storytelling.
